The heart of what we believe
We believe that God is one in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven where He is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. We believe that He will come back to restore His Kingdom and to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We believe that there is no other name under heaven by which one can be saved but by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. As believers, we are called to proclaim the Gospel to all the lost of this world.
We believe that the sixty six books of the Bible are the Word of God. We believe that the Bible is the authority of the Christian believer.
We believe that the Church is the congregation of those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter and He who guides us into all truth. We believe that He dwells in the lives of those who put their trust in Jesus.
We believe that Jesus still heals and delivers today those who are oppressed by the devil.
We believe in baptism by immersion of those who believe in Christ as their Lord and Saviour (but we also welcome those who are not baptized in this way).
We believe that Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, presented in 1 Corinthians 11:23-29, is taken in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice for us at the cross. Therefore, each individual ought to examine himself before the Lord and it is not for us to judge who is and who is not eligible to take it.
